Rinsing me down

Happy new year to you all! It's been 9 months since I started this blog all the way back in April, I can't make up my mind if April feels years or days ago. It's odd, when I started this blog I never really thought I would be able to stick with it, but as you can see I have and hope to in the coming year. Below are a few pictures from my past blog year that I think are of some significance!

My first ever outfit post

The first post I ever got comments on ha! (That weren't from my friends ha)

And one of my favourite thing's that have happened this year!

I hope everyone has a very happy new year!

Elephant gun

I hope everyone had a merry Christmas and got everything they wanted! I got some awesome presents that I love, including a Diana camera that I have been wanting for forever!

Here's the outfit I wore today to my friend Emilie's, the top I got yesterday during my trip to Brighton to browse the sales. Sorry I did try to take proper outfit photo's but the light was too bad and then the tripod broke and it all just went wrong haha. I actually love this top, it doesn't really look it but it's made of chiffony material (one of my favourites!) and it goes with everything, which a rarity in my wardrobe because I'm awful, I just buy something because I love it and don't think about if I actually have anything to wear it with, something I'm going to try and work on next year ha.

Writing poems in your bed sit

So it's Christmas eve! Exciting stuff! I thought I'd post a vlog for you after really enjoying ones by Jazmine and Isabel. Sorry for rambling about how I like frisbee at the end, that was odd ha. (Sounds pretty quiet so you might have to turn your volume up, sorry)

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Melt me down into big black armour

Two days till Christmas, exciting stuff! I've suddenly gained a few followers which is nice, hey new followers! I'm nearly up to fifty now, which compared to some blogs is nothing, but I'm proud of my 49 followers and I'm glad you follow ha!

Here's a recent purchase from one of my local charity shops for £4.50. The fabric's really nice and it has a great shape to it as well which unfortunately you can't really see in the pictures and also it has a collar, and I love a collar haa.

You're such a smiling sweetheart

So an awesome package came for me in the post today! Yep, the jumper I won from the lovely Rebecca of it's cohen. It is so comfy and warm which is good, because I'm in serious need of something warm in these treacherous conditions of 'the big freeze' ha. Also it has reindeer and snowflakes on it, can you get any more festive?! So once again thanks to Rebecca!
Got a bit overexcited about the jumper ha

Saturday 18 December 2010

Hey everyone (I seem incapable of starting a post without saying that). So it snowed here today but it wasn't very thick and really quickly turned to slush, which was depressing as I was going to go out and take photos in it. I'm currently panicking because I was meant to hand in my photography course work on Friday, I forgot. Never mind, I was going to fail anyway.

Please enjoy a picture of my Christmas tree. This turned up yesterday, my mum had ordered it and wouldn't tell anyone what it looked like. It's an upside down Christmas tree, obviously. Liking to be a bit different runs in the family it seems ha! It's grown on me though hah. Below is THE charity shop skirt, it was stuck in the corner of the shop and I saw some of the floaty material (I'm no good with knowing what type of material things are) and I'm a sucker for anything floaty so I couldn't help myself, it was only £4.75. I couldn't resist some twirling pictures in it haha, I plan to use it in some of my photography because I think the movement it creates is just awesome.

(Please ignore my 'I'm trying really hard to not fall over' face)

And the final piece of this unusually long post is what I wore today, this looks a lot more manly (is androgynous the word?) than my usual style but it's quite nice to dress like a cross between my grandad and a librarian once in a while!

Shirt- topshop, Jumper- Beyond retro, Trousers- Topshop
In retrospect I could have done all this in different posts but I'm no good at planning like that ha. I might do a vlog as I've seen some on other blogs and they were really interesting to watch. Massive post over. ha.

Whisper like it's a secret

Hey everyone, a post in the middle of the week, that's a novelty for you! Just wanted to jump on the bandwagon of showing you the kind of thing I'm hoping for for christmas (obviously not the ysl ring and Harvey Nichols dress ha). Please excuse my poor execution of these items, polyvore isn't one of my strong points ha. The tights are from Tabio
which I discovered on Streetstyle london and instantly fell in love with these star tights, they're pretty cool if you ask me. If I can I might even go as far as placing an order ha!

Sometime in this week I'll share the pictures of the awesome skirt I found in Winchester on Saturday, I'm completely enamoured with it ha. Just a brief post, what with it being a school night and all!

Sunday 12 December 2010

Below is what I wore yesterday to go do a little Christmas shopping with the family and my good friend Amelia. I'm currently watching Elf, quite possibly one of my favourite films EVER. Yesterday in Winchester I managed to track down an elusive vintage store that I saw a sign for then walked around for AGES trying to find. I also found the most awesome skirt in a charity shop that will feature on here soon I'm sure!

Dress- Zara, Blazer- Zara, Cardigan under blazer- Zara. Someone liked Zara that day didn't they!

The above outfit just might have been inspired by the below outfit worn by Florence of Florence and the machine. Okay maybe quite heavily inspired haha!
Only a week left of school till the Christmas festivities, yay!

His delusions find their way inside your head

Hello, how is everyone? It was unbelievably snowy here up until yesterday when I woke up it had just suddenly gone, so that was the end of that! I haven't really done anything over the past four days that I haven't been at school, I've perfect my sledging technique, decided that the Yule logs at costa are a little dry and I've just finished reading to kill a mocking bird. Only two snow photos, think yourself lucky!

This is what I wore yesterday to go watch harry potter about two weeks later than the rest of the world, I love a bit of harry potter. Not sure of this outfit works or not but I love this shirt and I love this skirt so I thought you know what, lets wear them together. I'll put the pictures that I took in the carpark with lan up soon, so look out for that, and I'll see if I can find anything else blogworthy ha.

Friday 26 November 2010

Sorry I haven' t posted since last Saturday but I've been awfully busy being ill. I got back from Paris at 7.30 last Sunday evening although it felt like midnight or something. I had such a good times in Paris, loads of people had said to me that Paris was a major let down once you get there but I had an amazing time! I would sit here and tell you all about it but it would be the longest post you've ever seen! Spent today walking around the local multi storey car park (which is a fail as it only has three storeys) taking pictures with Lan for our photography so expect to see my shots from that soon. So please enjoy some shots from my trip to Paris, I could post a lot more but I've narrowed it down hah

Oh mother, there's a skeleton in your closet

Hello, the pictures below are ones I took of Chloe during the half term, none of them have been edited or anything (apart from the bottom) because as I think I said last time I'm still trying to figure out the best way to do it.

Today I went shopping with some friends to the nearest shopping centre to get clothes for my upcoming trip to Paris (aaah!). I had a pretty awesome time, I'm sure the items will feature on here sooner or later but for now I'll just tell you ha, I got a camel jumper from zara which I love, it has leather elbow patches very cool in my opinion, I also got a surprisingly nice dress from primark with a lace peter pan collar, reduced from £15 to £5, so really I kind of had to get it. I had a close run in with some weird freak girls looking in my changing room? But what can I say I am pretty hot haaa.

Watch while the freight trains pound

So, I've been through all those exams for now. I like the fact that I can fail every score subject in a week ha.

Below is a picture of my 'mummy scissors' inspired by Roz of Clothes cameras and coffee If you haven't already go over to her blog, she's truly inspirational and you can also read more on the mummy scissors project here
These are my first attempt at mummy scissors, now when I made them I thought they looked quite good but they look really scruffy in this picture so I may do another pair of better quality ha.
Finally meet my new hat! This isn't the best picture of me or the hat but I just love it it so much I wanted to feature it on here ha. My grandma gave it to me a couple of weekends ago and I've completely fallen in love with it, expect to see a lot more of it!

I'm burning all my bridges

Hello everyone! I feel my posts are getting fewer and further between something I'm trying to change but, and here comes the excuse, I've been so busy recently. I had a four hour English exam on Friday, I've had to hand my photography book in for assessment (didn't do as well as I thought I did, slap in the face) and then on Tuesday I have the dreaded maths gcse and then following it on the Thursday I have three more gcse's. Excuses over.

As I mentioned in my last post I went to London with my family, unfortunately we didn't get to brick lane but we did go to topshop and urban outfitters! I bought the trousers featured below from topshop. These are my first pair of trousers in aggeeesss so that's quite exciting hah. I also purchased a lace top with a peter pan collar, two beautiful things to make something amazing in my opinion ha.

Oh a different view of my bedroom for you, how exciting hahah
Trousers-topshop, shirt-topshop, camera- mothers old film canon which is now working, yay!

Below is just some random pictures from bonfire night, not much really goes on for bonfire night where I live, well not much goes on in general ha.

(meet my little brother!)

Oh and before I go exciting stuff, now I PROMISE to blog more because I really love doing it, I love working on my blog and get so over excited when I get a new follower but moving on! The 15th I'm off to see Marina and the diamonds in Brighton, ahhh excited, need to find something to wear, yes it does take me that long to decide! AND then I wont be blogging from the 18th to the 21st because I'm off to Paris with the school, so I'll be absent but when I get back expect quite a few posts on it!

Marry me outside by the willow trees

Hey everyone, sorry for my blogging absence it's been half term and I was certain I'd be blogging loads but alas the case was not so.

Round up of my life, Tuesday I took some pictures with Chloe which will be up soon after I've sorted through them. Yesterday during the day I went to go ape, which involved jumping out of trees, like you do. Then in the evening I went round Lucy's for dinner with the gang which was Hawaiian themed, exotic I know! Below are pictures from Wednesday when everyone was round at mine for a vintage themed dinner, floral tea cups and all. I apologise for bad photo quality.

(Yes, they are my real glasses hah)
I'm going to London tomorrow with the family, thinking of going to brick lane because I know there's a beyond retro around and was wondering if it was worth it and if there is anywhere else worth visiting?
I'll blog soon, promise!

I live off lies and superstitions

Hi everyone! As per usual a pretty average week, had a mock maths gcse, everyone in my set got ungraded, so it's looking positive! Friday I went to my friend Olivia's house with some friends, danced to 80's music and 'sounds from the 60's' in her kitchen and then made a four tier cake, I know impressive!

What I wore on Saturday
Blouse h&m Skirt-Primark
The gang with the cake

Short post, jeez I need to do more interesting stuff to blog about hah

Are you hurting the one you love?

Hello all, I haven't updated in a while, mainly because nothing has happened to me and now the computer is throwing a fit about importing my pictures that I took on Saturday. Not a lot has happened to me, I had a great weekend last week, me and Lan somehow ended up on our own in town so we decided to go to poundland (new favourite shop) and buy disposable cameras and run around taking pictures in the rain. THIS week I went round my good friend Chloe's, went walking looking for some woods she thought were by her house which weren't actually there any more but took some pictures all the same and today I went on ANOTHER bike ride, this time with Lucy and Chloe. If I keep this bike riding up I'm going to have leg muscles of stone! Below are some of my pictures I took with Chloe, I'm still trying to figure out editing and things so these are just straight from my camera but enjoy!

The picture below is what I was wearing Saturday, my newly altered dress which I'm currently in love with and the obligatory boots which I don't think have left my feet since I bought them in February.
